About Us!

The Edgewood Public Library is a vital community resource offering a range of free public services and technology access. Open 40 hours a week and available by appointment, the library provides a welcoming environment for patrons of all ages.
Services include access to books, magazines, audiobooks, newspapers, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, cake pans, and in-house computers. Additionally, Wi-Fi, faxing, copying, printing, and laminating services are available. Patrons can also utilize interlibrary loan services at no charge.

The library hosts various programs for both children and adults, with a focus on initiatives like the Summer Reading Program and support for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project. Collaborations with local organizations, such as Fusion Danceworks, result in unique offerings like the Book Boogie summer dance camp. A noteworthy addition to the library's offerings is the introduction of STEAM kits for take-home educational play. Furthermore, a seed library initiative, established through a partnership with local 4-H clubs and Master Gardeners Programs, promotes gardening and sustainability.

The library's success is not only measured by its collection and services but by the impact it has on the community. It serves as a safe haven for children after school and provides crucial support to individuals facing various challenges, such as assisting grandparents navigating the foster care system. In essence, the Edgewood Public Library is more than just a repository of books; it's a cornerstone of the community, offering assistance, education, and a sense of belonging to all who walk through its doors.
